The American Heart Association’s CPR and Automated External Defibrillator AED learning programs help increase survival rates by training people just like you to respond quickly. Sadly, most people don’t survive a cardiac arrest. Four to six minutes is the window of opportunity for someone to act before it’s too late, but less than one-third of cardiac arrest victims get CPR from someone nearby. Immediate CPR can double, or even triple, a victim’s chance of survival.
The Avon Fire Department offers CPR & AED training to the community, businesses and Health Care professionals. This is by the American Heart Association's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
Our classes are taught by certified AHA instructors and take between 3 and 4 hours to complete and the cost is $50. Class sizes range from a minimum of 6 people to a maximum of 10-12.
