Hometown Hero Banner Program

If you are interested in displaying a Hometown Hero Banner, you can be put on a waitlist for 2026.

The city of Avon Hometown Hero program is a program that honors deceased members of the military that have ties to our
city.  Some details regarding the program:

Program Details:
  • Full color banners are printed double sided and measure 30"W x 84"H
  • Banners will be displayed between Memorial Day and Veterans Day
  • Banners will hang for two (2) years then are returned to the owner
  • Copy of the DD214 (military separation papers) is required
  • Banners will be displayed along Detroit Road, west of Avon High School
  • Space is limited:  first come, first served
