There are thousands of men, women and children who call Avon home. With as busy as life can be, many still find time to help others, seeking nothing more than the good feeling that comes from knowing they've done something that matters for someone else. There are also local organizations whose purpose is simply to build on our assets and encourage others to also get involved.
As Mayor, I have the pleasure of meeting many of these wonderful residents, but you may not. This initiative will introduce you to some of them. We will be adding their stories and photos regularly to the website. I believe we are stronger as individuals and a community if we support and encourage those who contribute to improving the lives of others and making Avon an even better place to live or work.
