Yes, but it must meet the following criteria:

1. The person to be fingerprinted must live or work in Avon
2. The person being fingerprinted must have their own cards

The Avon Police Department does not have a dedicated animal control officer. If you have an issue with an animal, please contact our non-emergency phone number 440-934-1234. If it is an emergency, please dial 911.

You will need to fill in the following fields:

County (47 Lorain), Crash Date with the year the crash occurred (format 01/01/2017), Jurisdiction (Avon 3352), Law Enforcement (Avon Police Department 04702) and the last name from the report.

To get results click "Get Report Data" and then "Select Report".

Please keep in mind reports may not be immediately available, if after five (5) days they are still not online, contact the Avon Records Department. Private property crashes (parking lots) will not appear on this site.  These reports will need to be obtained from the Records Department at 440-934-7860, Monday- Friday from 7:00AM- 3:00PM.

In partnership with University Hospitals, CVS and the Lorain County Drug Task Force, the Avon Police Department has installed a drop-box for both prescription medication and hypodermic needles in the lobby of the Avon Police Department. 

Annually, the Avon Police Department partners with the Lorain County Sheriff Drug Task Force to facilitate a day to turn in outdated or no longer needed medications. Please check our website for updates. 

Solicitors:

In order to solicit within the city of Avon, Ohio solicitors are required to have a valid solicitation permit issued by the City of Avon, Ohio. In order to obtain a permit to solicit within the city solicitors are required to fill out and submit the Solicitation Permit Application found on the city's website.

Do-not-knock:

The City of Avon has available to all residents a sticker that can be placed at your home's entrance, informing peddlers, solicitors and canvassers to not knock on your door. Residents can obtain this sticker by stopping by Avon City Hall or the Avon Police Department.
