Avon Police Department and Avon Parks & Recreation Department are partnering to offer a Bike Rodeo!
WHAT IS A BIKE RODEO????
A Bike Rodeo is an event for cyclists AGES 7-11 to learn about, and practice, bike safety. The Bike Rodeo includes a safety inspection and a series of skill stations directly related to everyday bicycling situations. Participants will practice starting & stopping, the safe way to exit a driveway, negotiate an intersection and avoid common road hazards.
WHO: Avon cyclists ages 7 - 11 (residents only)
(no training wheels!)
WHEN: Saturday, June 3rd 9am -10:30am or 11am - 12:30pm
(Rain date June 10th)
Max: 35 participants per time slot
WHERE: Avon Middle School , 3445 Long Rd. Front parking lot
FEE: $10 per child
Instructors: Avon Police Officers
Please bring a bicycle in working condition, properly fitted helmet and a water bottle with name on it. Riders MUST wear closed toe shoes!
